Interim Finance Analyst - Children's Services

I am supporting a London Borough to recruit an Interim Finance Analyst to support the Finance Manager . This is a key role within the finance team, providing financial support, analysis and effective business partnering during a critical period in the financial year.

Key responsibilities

• Support budget monitoring, forecasting, and reporting
• Provide clear and accurate financial analysis to support decision-making
• Support robust cost management and savings tracking
• Support the preparation of budgets and medium-term financial planning
• Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders

Role requirements

• Part Qualified/QBE
• Strong background in management accounting within a local authority setting
• Experience of children's social care and/or education finance
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical capability
• Track record of effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
