The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is seeking a full-time, permanent Senior Finance Planning Analyst (SFPA) to work on the Capital Accounting and Planning Team within the Finance department. Reporting to the Manager, Capital Accounting and Planning, the SFPA is responsible for various aspects of Project Cost Control and Reporting, balance sheet accounting, preparation and delivery of year end and audit schedules and documentation, and setting up major capital projects in the ERP System. The position will be responsible for a broad range of financial accountabilities and financial services in a multi-site environment working with designated client portfolios within CAMH. The individual will build effective, collaborative relationships and work strategically with internal client departments, programs and CAMH management to provide financial analysis, reporting and accounting services.
Responsibilities
The SFPA will be responsible for specific month end reporting tasks, internal and external audit preparations for specific balance sheet accounts, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, variance analysis, selected reconciliations, and documentation of all this positions’ financial procedures and processes.
Finance department point of contact for all Capital-related budgeting and expenditure.
Leading capital special audits, including but not limited to capital projects from the MOHLTC, HIRF, etc.
Working with stakeholders to bring forward new capital requests and to identify associated risks to the organization.
Working with the Capital Planning team to ensure proper tracking and maintenance of the full capital plan cycle.
Ensures completeness and accuracy of data in compliance with Hospital policies & accounting standards.
Maintaining and managing capital budgets and associated spend within ERP(Project tracking Module).
Assisting Manager in creation of annual capital and depreciation budgets.
Provide leadership, guidance and oversight related to the Hospital’s capital planning and reporting (including project accounting and Foundation granting support) and the hospital’s treasury functions (including short term and long term cash flow forecasting, short term and long term asset investment recommendations and related financing recommendations), as well as supporting the planning for Major Redevelopment project.
The successful candidate will also be accountable for project tracking and analysis, cash flow projections, project accounting journal entries and financial analysis for project financial transactions as well as various related initiatives, and recommending changes and improvements to existing related processes.
The SFPA will be working with sensitive and strategic information as it relates to programs, departments and staff. He/she will review and improve related internal controls and assist with ensuring compliance with internal controls, CAMH policies, MIS guidelines, CICA Handbook (PSAB) standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
You will possess a University degree in a related field, and professional designation of CPA. Seven (7) years of related working experience is required. Knowledge of the Health Care sector and the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care reporting requirements preferred. We are looking for demonstrated excellence in building and maintaining financial models in MS Access and/or Excel, as well as experience in project accounting methodologies and analysis. We require a self-starter who has the ability to work both independently and/or as a team member with minimal supervision. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical, problem recognition and problem solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external departments are required. Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems and software applications, with an aptitude for learning new computer applications quickly is a must. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Oracle ERP is considered an asset. The successful candidate must have the ability to work accurately under stressful conditions and meet tight deadlines. Candidates will possess the ability for self-directed learning/working, as well as collaboration and teamwork. You will demonstrate the ability and interest in working with a diverse team and in an environment that values diversity and equity. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language would be an asset.
