Job Description

The Financial Analyst III supports financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis for a fast-paced, data-driven organization. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver insights that drive sound business decisions, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives. Responsibilities

• Perform detailed financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Develop, maintain, and improve financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics that provide clear insights to stakeholders.
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities, including budgeting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
• Partner cross-functionally with teams across the organization to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, to build models and perform complex data analysis.
• Utilize enterprise financial systems and tools such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, HFM, SmartView, and SQL to extract, validate, and analyze data.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data and reporting through strong attention to detail and rigorous review.
• Communicate insights, findings, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in written presentations.
• Support continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and reporting to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
• Demonstrate a self-starter mindset by proactively identifying issues, proposing solutions, and driving initiatives forward.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
• 3+ years of strong analytical experience in areas such as financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business analysis, or planning.
• Strong finance and accounting fundamentals, with the ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and metrics.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling with large and complex datasets.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Ability to work both as a collaborative team member and independently with minimal supervision.
• Strategic, analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a self-starter mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2–7 years of overall professional experience in finance, accounting, or related analytical roles is ideal.
• Experience in a large, complex corporate environment or well-regarded academic experience is strongly valued.
• Familiarity with financial systems and tools such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, HFM, SmartView, or similar enterprise platforms.
• SQL experience for querying and analyzing data is a strong plus.
• Experience with enterprise-level planning tools (e.g., PLN or similar) is beneficial.
• Demonstrated learning agility and the ability to absorb training quickly and perform at a high level.
• Clear interest in career growth and promotion potential within finance, including progression into finance roles.
• Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across functions in a large organization.

Work Environment

This role is 100% onsite in West Hills, CA (Roscoe Blvd) and operates on a standard Monday–Friday schedule, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some flexibility. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and data-driven, offering frequent interaction with cross-functional teams and exposure to stakeholders. You will work extensively with advanced financial systems and tools, including SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, HFM, SmartView, SQL, and advanced Excel, while handling large and complex datasets. The onsite setting supports close collaboration, hands-on learning, and relationship-building, and the role is structured to provide stability, clear expectations, and strong opportunities for advancement based on performance.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of West Hills, CA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
