Position Summary
The Business Development Head will be responsible for driving the agency's overall business growth, revenue generation, strategic partnerships, and client acquisition initiatives.
The role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the Advertising, Media, or Digital Marketing industry, capable of leading large-scale pitches, managing high-performing teams, and developing growth strategies that contribute to long-term business success.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, consultative selling expertise, and a deep understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth & Business Expansion
- Develop and execute business growth strategies aligned with organizational goals and market opportunities.
- Identify new markets, service offerings, strategic alliances, and revenue streams to drive business expansion.
- Create and implement annual business development plans, sales forecasts, and revenue targets.
- Drive initiatives that contribute to sustainable and scalable growth.
- New Business Acquisition & Client Management
- Lead efforts to acquire new clients across key industry sectors.
- Build and nurture relationships with CXOs, Marketing Heads, Brand Managers, and key decision-makers.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships that generate recurring business opportunities.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Pitch Management & Strategic Presentations
- Lead end-to-end pitch management for new business opportunities.
- Work closely with Strategy, Creative, Digital, and Media teams to develop compelling pitch presentations and business proposals.
- Present agency capabilities, digital solutions, and growth strategies to prospective clients.
- Drive conversion of pitches into profitable business opportunities.
- Sales Leadership & Revenue Management
- Own and deliver revenue targets and profitability objectives.
- Build, manage, mentor, and motivate the Business Development team.
- Establish sales processes, KPIs, reporting structures, and performance metrics.
- Monitor pipeline health, conversion ratios, and business performance.
- Lead commercial negotiations, proposal submissions, and contract closures.
- Team Management & Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing business development team.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management support.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with leadership teams to align business development initiatives with company objectives.
- Market Intelligence & Industry Insights
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Identify growth opportunities and recommend new service offerings based on market demand.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing, Strategy, Creative, Technology, and Operations teams to ensure seamless project transitions.
- Represent Savit Interactive at industry events, conferences, networking forums, and client meetings.
- Strengthen the agency's market presence and brand visibility.
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.MBA in Marketing or Business Management preferred.
- Experience
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales Leadership, Client Servicing, or Growth Management.
- Mandatory experience in the Advertising, Digital Marketing, Media, Branding, or Integrated Marketing Communications industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Extensive experience in leading and winning large-scale agency pitches.
- Strong experience in team management, leadership development, and performance management.
- Experience handling enterprise-level clients and strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to position, pitch, and close comprehensive digital marketing and technology solutions for clients across diverse industries.
- Experience in creating customized solutions and business proposals aligned with client objectives and digital transformation goals.
