Key Responsibilities
- Investment Analysis & Financial Modelling
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating models, DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and sensitivity analysis.
- Support evaluation of new investment opportunities across Southeast Asia through financial and commercial analysis.
- Assess key investment risks, return drivers, and value creation opportunities.
- Deal Execution Support
- Support end-to-end transaction execution processes, including due diligence coordination, data room review, financial analysis, and deal documentation.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, management teams, advisors, lenders, and counterparties throughout live transactions.
- Assist in transaction structuring and execution workstreams where required.
- Research & Investment Evaluation
- Conduct industry, market, competitor, and company research to support investment theses and screening of new opportunities.
- Monitor sector trends, market developments, and relevant macroeconomic factors across the region.
- Investment Materials & Internal Reporting
- Prepare investment committee papers, internal presentations, investment memoranda, and other transaction-related materials.
- Support preparation of external presentations, teasers, and investor-facing materials where required.
- Portfolio Monitoring
- Support portfolio monitoring activities, including financial performance tracking, operational analysis, and ad hoc reporting for active investments.
- Assist with strategic analysis and value creation initiatives across portfolio companies when applicable.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, transaction advisory, financial due diligence, or related investment roles.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation capabilities with experience working on live transactions.
- Prior exposure to M&A, investment evaluation, or transaction execution processes preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, hands-on, and comfortable operating within a lean team structure.
- Southeast Asia transaction exposure or cross-border experience would be advantageous.
