Job Summary
Pawsible is seeking a warm, organized, and animal-loving Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets. As the face of our premium pet care business in Downtown Los Angeles, you’ll play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment, coordinating services, and supporting our daycare, grooming, and boarding operations.
The ideal candidate is a natural communicator who thrives in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and pets warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage in-person inquiries with professionalism and clarity
- Schedule appointments for grooming, daycare, training, and shuttle services
- Process check-ins, check-outs, and payments accurately using our POS system
- Keep front desk area tidy, organized, and stocked with retail items or client materials
- Communicate effectively with pet parents regarding service updates, health notes, and follow-ups
- Coordinate with internal staff (groomers, attendants, shuttle drivers) for smooth daily operations
- Monitor vaccination records, client notes, and appointment logs to ensure compliance and safety
Requirements
- 1+ year of experience in a receptionist, front desk, or client service role
- Comfort around dogs of all sizes and basic understanding of pet behavior
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm during busy moments
- Proficiency with scheduling software or willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented, punctual, and dependable
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and a genuine love for pets

Location
Pawsible – La Plaza Village, Downtown Los Angeles (Chinatown / Arts District)
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
