Per Diem Classroom Assistant | Seattle, Washington

Instructional Aide Subs are needed for per diem placements in a dynamic school environment near Seattle, WA. These opportunities are perfect for empathetic individuals eager to help students achieve their best while enjoying the flexibility of on-demand assignments.

As an instructional aide, you will provide vital 1:1 support and small-group guidance, assisting students academically, behaviorally, and socially under the direction of teachers and school staff. Your dedication will help foster a positive and inclusive classroom experience.

What You'll Do

• Offer direct assistance to students in academic and behavioral tasks
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group support based on students instructional needs
• Guide students through daily activities, classroom transitions, and participation
• Implement behavior support strategies and follow IEP guidelines as needed
• Assist with mobility, supervision, and personal care in the school setting
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all learners

Requirements for Placement

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum age of 18
• Current TB test (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as necessary
• Up-to-date or obtainable school clearances (background checks, etc.)

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in schools, special education, behavioral health, or child care
• Experience supporting students with diverse needs, such as autism or behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with CPI, PMT, or RBT practices is a plus
• Dependable, compassionate, and a collaborative spirit
