Gulf Skilled, a leading UAE-based technology company, is expanding its remote engineering team and seeking a highly motivated Software Tester / QA Engineer. This role is critical to ensuring that all software products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability across fast-paced project environments.

As a Software Tester / QA Engineer, you will take ownership of testing activities across multiple software applications, ensuring defects are identified early and resolved efficiently. You will work closely with development teams to define test strategies, build test cases, and drive continuous improvements across the QA lifecycle.

This remote role offers the opportunity to contribute to enterprise‑level projects while collaborating with globally distributed teams. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and commitment to quality will play a key role in delivering exceptional products for Gulf Skilled's clients.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Execute manual and automated test cases across web and mobile applications
• Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to define clear acceptance criteria
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
• Develop and maintain testing documentation including test plans and test reports
• Contribute to QA process improvements and best practices
• Validate system behavior across different environments and platforms

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a Software Tester or QA Engineer
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and defect management
• Hands‑on experience with test case design, execution, and reporting
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps)
• Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in remote teams

✨ Nice‑to‑Have Skills

• Experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)
• Knowledge of API testing (Postman, Swagger, REST/SOAP)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing workflows
• Exposure to performance or security testing
• ISTQB or other QA-related certifications
