We're looking for a Senior Production Software Engineer to build, scale, and maintain critical infrastructure and backend systems that power high-growth products. This role requires a strong generalist engineer who is comfortable working across the stack, owning services end-to-end, and contributing to architecture, platform, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable production systems and core infrastructure.
- Develop robust backend services, APIs, and internal platforms using Python.
- Drive reliability, observability, performance, and operational improvements across the platform.
- Work across multiple areas of the system, including application services, infrastructure, data pipelines, and developer tooling.
- Lead architectural decisions and contribute to long-term platform strategy.
- Partner with product, engineering, and infrastructure teams to deliver highly available systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
- Strong Python development experience with a track record of building and operating scalable systems.
- Experience designing and implementing infrastructure, platform, or backend systems.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud architectures, networking, and system design principles.
- Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues and improve system reliability.
Preferred
- Experience building internal developer platforms, deployment systems, or operational tooling.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD, and observability frameworks.
- Exposure to data infrastructure, machine learning platforms, or high-performance computing environments.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with broad ownership across the engineering stack.
