Core Responsibilities
- Leading People (30%)
- Lead and drive a collaborative culture within the state team that reflects the LEGO groups brand frame work.
- Coach and motivate state teams to action their job tasks as set out in Field Sales Job Descriptions.
- Responsibility for recruitment and training of new Field Sales Representative and Merchandisers.
- Lead and ensure a Safety culture and safe work environment for all direct reports.5x direct reports, lead HR Processes through the performance reviews and development plans.
- Merchandising (30%)
- Ensure head office arranged activities, planograms and promotions are implemented at store level.
- Responsible for Merchandising to a high LEGO standard (MTS) within Major & Independent accounts.
- Prioritize top Centers in metro areas that have regular merchandising service.
- Perform commercial merchandising decisions to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time and pack out stock when required.
- Collect market information on Retailer, Toy supplier and competitor activity for reports to FSM, Field Sales and other internal customers.
- Proactively educate store teams around the LEGO brand.
- Business Relationships (20%)
- Collaborate with Internal Customers within LEGO ANZ to achieve Key Performance Indicators.
- Lead multiple Retailer relationships (Regional, Store and Department managers) in Major Accounts with a view to improving sales and profit across the state.
- Motivate store contacts across the state to fill LEGO homesites regularly.
- Raise any issues to Regional contacts and Account Managers, via email and phone call reports.
- Oversee and coordinate Head Office visits to territory including market run, sales information and meetings with key contacts – regional/store.
- Lead and co-ordinate engagement driving activities across the state to the optimal benefit of the LEGO Group, the customer and the consumer.
- Business Planning (20%)
- Developing, maintaining, communicating and driving solid business plans that are structured around the business direction and what is right for the retailer’s business model.
- Provide business planning support to all direct reports in both financial acumen with clarity and communication.
- Development activities organised with Senior National Field Sales Manager– 90-day induction plan, quarterly development initiatives & IDPUse relevant sales tools to open and close calls, updating customer details, ordering, surveying.
- Manage overall state compliance by coaching and passing feedback up to global and regional teams.

- Demonstrate an attitude and demeanour that contributes the LEGO culture and brand.
- Become a brand ambassador for the LEGO Group.
- High degree of confidentiality around the LEGO brand and retailer relationships.
- Understanding and appreciation around the LEGO consumer within the market place.

- By overseeing the states of NSW and ACT, you and your team will help deliver on the commercial ambitions of LEGO ANZ by working with local independent toy retailers and major accounts to maximise sales opportunities.
- Do you have what it takes?4+ years Sales experience in a consumer-packaged goods' company and/or retail experience.
- Ability direct and motivate a team to achieve department/company goals.
- Effective and confident communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be necessary.
Physical requirements
- Lifting outer cartons (15kg max), climbing ladders, pushing store trolleys.
- It is required that the State Manager can sit while driving for a period and is able to spend the entire work day standing.
- There is also a requirement to lift LEGO boxes above their head to reach the top shelf.
- Previous experience leading a territory preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
