Job Overview
The Digital Design & Marketing Strategist will serve as the single point of contact for digital asset development, social media, online menu management, and budtender education across Botanica’s brands.
Reporting to Founder & Head of Brand, this role will help define Botanica's brands in the digital environment and work closely with sales and field marketing teams to translate digital marketing requests into refined digital assets and execution across retail, social and advertising channels
Through both internal collaboration and external dispensary partnerships, this person will establish and maintain a consistent brand presence across all digital channels and drive consumer engagement through purposeful, on-brand content.
The ideal candidate brings a strong design foundation alongside a marketer's instinct for strategy — someone who can move fluidly between building an animated in-store video, sitting down with dispensary marketing teams to co-develop campaigns & content, and pulling metrics to assess what's working.
This is a hands-on, ownership-oriented role suited to a self-starter who thrives in an evolving industry and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
Responsibilities
Digital Marketing & Retail Support
- Partner with field marketing and sales teams to execute digital marketing campaigns and promotions in collaboration with dispensaries.
- Design digital assets for in-store displays and menus — both static and animated
- Create and coordinate digital content for retailer websites and POP displays (banners, ads, featured products)
Social Media & Email Marketing
- Manage Instagram presence for Journeyman and Mr. Moxey's — posts, reels, stories, and community engagement
- Design and source content aligned with each brand's voice and visual identity
- Manage ongoing communication with customers, stores, and budtenders across channels
- Collaborate on email marketing campaigns for Mr. Moxey's Hemp
Online Menu Platforms
- Upload and maintain brand content across menu platforms including Jane, Dutchie, and Leafy
Budtender Training & Education
- Build and maintain training modules on B2B platforms: Learnbrands, Sparkplug, Seedtalent
- Track and report on engagement metrics and ROI for training programs
- Develop supplementary digital education materials for dispensaries and budtenders, rooted in core brand resources
Qualifications
Design
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills — Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects
- Excellent digital design ability, static and animation
- Photo/video experience is a plus
- College degree or equivalent + 5 years minimum design experience
Marketing
- Digital strategy across social, email, and advertising channels
- Strong copywriting and brand voice ability
- Proven ability to analyze campaign metrics and use insights to inform and optimize marketing decisions
Technical
- Proficient in Google Workspace
- Proficient in Asana or comparable project management tools
- Ability to follow and apply brand guidelines. Potential to layer in new concepts and ideas is a plus.
General
- Must be 21+ years of age in compliance with Washington cannabis regulations
- Excellent communicator with strong project management instincts
- Sharp attention to detail and brand consistency
- Self-starter who can work independently in an evolving industry
- Scrappy, resourceful, and willing to roll up your sleeves
- Cannabis industry experience a plus

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
