The Role 🧩
We are seeking a detail-oriented (attention to detail), analytical, and proactive General Accountant to manage our financial ecosystem. This isn't just a bookkeeping role; we need a "financial co-pilot" who can take full ownership of our portfolio.
From mastering Odoo accounting workflows to navigating UAE Tax compliance and e-commerce logistics, you will ensure our financial data is flawless, at the click of a button all the time, timely, and actionable, presenting a correct & fair view as per IFRS standards & best industry practices.
The role requires proficiency in monthly financial closings, monthly P&L and B/S, weekly Cash Flow forecasting & budgeting, and sales invoicing, AR & AP.

Key Responsibilities 🎯
- Full-Cycle Accounting & Reporting: Oversee the complete accounting cycle—from inventory management and sales invoicing to month-end closing. Deliver accurate Balance Sheets, P&L statements, and Trial Balances in strict accordance with International Accounting Standards.
- Odoo Power-User: Odoo - Accounting Design & Implementation Expertise: You must have Advanced knowledge of Odoo accounting software & Expertise, Odoo system Design & implementation, including Process Automation, Operations & troubleshooting, Technical & Functional Knowledge at SCRUBZ to lead the day-to-day operations and module integration within Odoo. You will be the internal expert on Odoo accounting, ensuring the system reflects real-time business health.
- Financial Reporting & Bookkeeping: Generate monthly financial reports, including Balance Sheets, P&L statements, Cash Flow forecasts, and consolidated summaries. Maintain flawless bookkeeping and reconciliation across systems.
- VAT & Corporate Tax: Execute thorough tax computation, validation, and filing of monthly VAT returns. Stay ahead of UAE Corporate Tax laws and ensure 100% compliance.
- E-Commerce end-to-end accounting practices Logistics & Accounting: Manage end-to-end accounting for e-commerce operations, including payment gateway reconciliations, logistics cost analysis, and weekly inventory audits.
- Cash Flow & Budgeting: Develop weekly cash flow forecasts and overhead cost analyses to identify efficiency opportunities and protect margins.
- Payroll & AP: Manage vendor relations (AP), aging reports (AR), and payroll processing with absolute discretion and accuracy.
- External Annual Audit & SOPs: Prepare comprehensive files for annual audits, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues related to non-compliance or account anomalies.
- AR day-to-day management – Daily liaison with sales team – inquiring about cash or cheque collection-Follow up with customer credit accounts & collection on time or before due dates – overall A to Z effective and productive AR handling.
- Overheads Cost & Revenue Analysis: Use accounting tools (Odoo, Excel, etc.) to compute key financial metrics, analyze discrepancies, and spot efficiency opportunities.
- Standard Operating Policies (SoPs) System Implementation and integration of accounting software, including Process Automation, to ensure seamless operations with advanced system expertise & automation, and lead the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to scale our financial department.
- Periodic review and streamlining of internal controls - process improvements & Process Automation and strengthened internal controls
- Leading & Directing Business, thus adding business insight by steering cost-effectively and implementing measures that add to bottom-line profitability, financial insight & guidance for the Directors.
What We’re Looking For 🛠️
- Education: Master’s degree, CMA, or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Accounting Software Odoo Experience & Mastery: Expert-level Odoo experience is essential
- Software Mastery: You must be proficient in Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Complex Formulas).
- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience as a General Accountant, ideally within the retail or e-commerce sector.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with a strong sense of ownership, for producing monthly financial results
- Creative business management thinker & financial leadership is a plus.
- Compliance: Deep understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and IFRS.
- Communication: Exceptional command of English (written and verbal). You should be able to present financial data to leadership clearly.

Terms & Benefits 💼
- Working Hours: Mon–Sat (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday is a half-day).
- Package: AED 5,000 (Flexible, based on work experience/qualifications).
