Job Title: Assistant Accountant | Location: Ras Al Khor, Dubai, UAE | ### Job Summary | We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong accounting knowledge, experience in tax compliance and tax analysis, and the ability to handle a wide range of accounting and administrative tasks.
A CPA certification is required, and experience with SOHO accounting systems/software is essential. | ### Key Responsibilities | * Assist in managing daily accounting operations and financial records. | * Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations. | * Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. | * Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. | * Prepare and analyze tax filings, VAT returns, and tax-related reports. | * Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations and accounting standards. | * Conduct tax analysis and provide recommendations to improve tax efficiency and compliance. | * Maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation. | * Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. | * Support audits and coordinate with external auditors when required. | * Monitor and manage expenses, invoices, and payments. | * Perform administrative and other accounting-related duties as assigned. | ### Requirements | * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. | * CPA Certification (Mandatory). | * Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. | * Strong knowledge of tax regulations, tax analysis, and VAT compliance. | * Experience working with SOHO accounting software/systems. | * Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial controls. | * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. | * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. | * Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. | * Excellent communication skills in English.
