Job overview and responsibilities
The Senior Manager of Environmental Sustainability will be responsible for sustainability planning and supporting United's decarbonization teams in meeting the company's climate targets.
The Senior Manager is responsible for technical oversight of programmatic elements of United’s sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) program, like working with industry peers to ensure harmonization with industry best practices, advocating and monitoring within technical working groups, and engaging with producers to ensure an understanding on roadblocks and mitigations necessary to scale SAF across the market.
Senior Manager will also work closely with United Airlines Ventures to progress investments in a portfolio of clean technology solutions that will one day scale to help United meet its climate targets. Support other duties as assigned.

The base pay range for this role is $127,870.00 to $166,492.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
