Purchase & Vendor Manager – Commercial Display & Video Conferencing

About the Role
We, Nexus People, a leading recruitment and outsourcing company, are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Purchase & Vendor Manager on behalf of our client in the Commercial Display, Video Conferencing, and Professional AV industry.
The ideal candidate will possess strong industry knowledge, established supplier relationships, and a deep understanding of project-based AV business environments.
This role requires a commercially focused professional who can effectively manage vendor partnerships, negotiate favorable commercial terms, support sales and project teams, and ensure profitable business operations while maintaining healthy cash flow and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage procurement activities for Commercial Display, Video Conferencing, Digital Signage, LED Display, Interactive Display, and related Professional AV solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and key suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, rebates, credit facilities, and supply agreements to maximize profitability.
- Source products and solutions that meet customer requirements while ensuring competitive pricing, product availability, and timely delivery.
- Work closely with sales, pre-sales, and project teams to develop cost-effective and profitable solutions.
- Monitor vendor performance, delivery schedules, service quality, and contractual commitments.
- Ensure effective control of gross margins, procurement costs, operational expenses (OPEX), and cash flow impact.
- Analyze market trends, supplier offerings, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to support business growth.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor contracts, quotations, and compliance documentation.
- Forecast purchasing requirements and support inventory planning where applicable.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve procurement processes and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the Commercial Display, Video Conferencing, Professional AV, Unified Communications, or related technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of global AV brands, products, technologies, and distribution channels.
- Experience working within project-based business environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in procurement, purchasing, vendor management, and commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical, commercial, and financial management skills.
- Ability to balance customer requirements with profitability objectives.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and procurement tools.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of UAE market experience with strong familiarity with local suppliers, distributors, customers, and business practices.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Commercial Display, LED Display, Interactive Display, Digital Signage, Video Conferencing, and Professional AV solutions.
- Existing relationships with AV manufacturers, distributors, and channel partners.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise, government, education, hospitality, or commercial projects.
- Strong understanding of supplier agreements, commercial contracts, and rebate programs.

Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience, industry knowledge, commercial acumen, and ability to contribute to business growth.
