Job Purpose
(Based in Science Park/Tai Po)The HR Business Partner (Assistant Manager) serves as a strategic and hands-on HR partner to manufacturing operations. This role supports plant leadership and line managers in enhancing workforce effectiveness, operational stability, employee engagement and compliance, while ensuring HR practices align with business objectives, operational requirements, and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner closely with plant leadership and department heads to translate business and operational needs into effective HR solutions
- Provide day‑to‑day HR advisory support on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Support manpower planning, shift arrangements, and labor utilization in line with production requirements
- Manage employee relations matters, including grievances, disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution
- Promote positive industrial relations climate and support engagement initiatives across shop‑floor and staff populations
- Manage performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning
- Assist in salary review, incentive plans, and benefits administration
- Support organizational change initiatives such as restructuring, productivity improvement, and headcount optimization
- Drive continuous improvement and digitization of HR processes to enhance efficiency in a manufacturing environment
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline5–7 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or operational sectors
- Strong HR generalist expertise across employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR operations
- Proven problem‑solving, conflict management, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage confidently at all levels
- Proficient in both English and Chinese
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyze HR metrics and trends
- Hands‑on, resilient, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, operational environment
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Occasional travel to China or other Asia manufacturing sites is required.
