Position Overview
The Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial health and operational efficiency of the company.
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our headquarters and production facility in Redwood City, CA.This role works closely with ownership, management, and operations teams to maintain accurate financial reporting, improve internal processes, and support strategic decision-making across retail, wholesale, and production operations.
- What You’ll DoCore Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and bank reconciliations
- Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger activity
- Monitor cash flow, vendor payments, and customer collections
- Assist with payroll review and employee expense tracking
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records
- Inventory & Cost Accounting
- Support inventory tracking and reconciliation for production and café operations
- Assist with food cost analysis, margin reporting, and operational variance tracking
- Help improve costing systems and financial reporting processes
- Work closely with operations teams to analyze labor, production, and purchasing trends
- Reporting & Business Support
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting reports
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Support tax preparation and compliance documentation
- Provide financial insights and operational reporting to management
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and profitability
- What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals including:
- General ledger management
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Financial reporting
- Experience with:
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Invoicing and collections
- Cash applications
- Proficiency with:
- QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Microsoft Excel
- Financial spreadsheets and reporting tools
- Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field — or equivalent practical experience
