Purpose of the Role
Manage the overall daily operations of Finance Department in accordance with group accounting policies and generally accepted accounting standards. A critical focus of this role is leading finance transformation initiatives and providing business support. The incumbent will act as a key liaison between local brands and the Regional Headquarter to ensure financial compliance and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
- Transformation & Change Management: Lead and implement finance transformation projects to streamline operations, enhance automation, and improve overall departmental efficiency.
- Regional Collaboration: Serve as a primary point of contact for Regional HQ; provide insightful advice and transparent financial communication to support broader business development.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily finance operations, ensuring month-end closing activities are performed timely and accurately.
- Financial Control: Implement robust financial controls and ensure all documentation complies with local statutory requirements and internal company policies.
- Analysis & Insights: Provide high-quality analysis of financial statements and forecasts to help monitor business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Audit & Tax: Lead the audit process by liaising with external/corporate auditors and manage annual tax filings with external consultants.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Recognized professional accountancy qualifications is required (HKICPA, ACCA, etc.)
- At least 6 years of finance and accounting experience with a minimum of 2-3 years at supervisory level, preferably in retail industry
- Exceptional Communication: Must possess superior interpersonal and communication skills to effectively influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders at Regional HQ and across all levels of the organization.
- Leadership: Proven ability to coach and supervise a team while managing through organizational change.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong business acumen with the ability to solve complex problems independently.
- Agility: Ability to thrive under tight deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Proficient in, Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Experience in SAP system is an added advantage
