- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. May be required to work some evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Reception Manager serves as the primary point of contact for members and guests during weekday shifts, playing a critical role in delivering exceptional service and representing the Club with professionalism and poise. This position combines traditional member services desk responsibilities such as court bookings, managing inquiries (in person, by phone, and electronically), and maintaining updated communications with leadership and operational oversight of the Member Services Desk team.
- Key responsibilities include scheduling, recruiting, training, coaching, and managing member services desk staff, as well as overseeing performance, adherence to check-in procedures, and overall service standards. Effective and clear communication with the team is essential, particularly in matters related to club standards, health and safety, staff relations, emergency situations, lost and found, member file pickups, and booking systems.
- The Reception Manager is also responsible for the daytime coordination of services such as the lockers, lost and found, turning on the golf simulator, rainout conditions, and enforcement of security protocols and daytime operating and operating procedures. The role supports various member service initiatives, including organizing programs like the “Just Because” day events.
- As a Club ambassador, the Reception Manager ensures the reception area remains professional, welcoming, clean, and well-organized at all times. The incumbent must be knowledgeable about Club operations, services, and events, and ensure their team is equally informed and capable of assisting members and guests effectively. Maintaining the safety and security of the Clubhouse, members, and staff is also a key component of the role.
- Requirements:
- 2+ years of reception and leadership experience
- Diploma from a Community College or University in business administration and management is considered an asset
- Proven supervisory and leadership capabilities with strong ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members effectively
- Capable of responding promptly and appropriately in a variety of emergency, security, and member and staff related situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid understanding of email systems, web-based tools, booking systems, chit processing systems, and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and Health & Safety legislative requirements for supervisors
- Valid First Aid certification

Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
