Role Overview
Masterminds Education is seeking an exceptional Mathematics Lead Teacher & Group Advocate to support students across the primary and lower secondary years in a small, boutique learning environment.
The program currently serves a small student body of approximately 30 students, organized into cohorts of around 5–6 children. This allows teachers to deliver highly individualized instruction, closely monitor progress, and build meaningful relationships with each student.
This role is ideal for a strong Mathematics teacher who is also capable of working with students across multiple areas of learning. The role is intentionally not designed as a narrowly single-subject Mathematics position.
The successful candidate will bring strong Mathematics expertise while also serving as a Group Advocate for one or more student groups, teaching selected additional subjects aligned with their strengths and supporting interdisciplinary learning.
The main teaching focus will be Mathematics across upper primary and lower secondary groups, with responsibility for ensuring that students build strong conceptual understanding, fluency, reasoning, problem-solving ability, and confidence. The role also includes helping guide the quality, consistency, and development of Mathematics teaching across relevant groups.
The successful candidate should be able to bring blended and evidence-informed approaches to Mathematics teaching, drawing where appropriate on techniques such as Singapore Math, visual models, manipulatives, structured reasoning, inquiry, and real-world application.

Essential
Requirements
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience teaching Mathematics to primary and/or lower secondary students
- Strong knowledge of Mathematics curriculum standards, preferably including UK National Curriculum, Cambridge, or similar international frameworks
- Ability to teach Mathematics across upper primary and lower secondary levels
- Strong understanding of conceptual Mathematics, mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, fluency development, and differentiated instruction
- Experience teaching in small groups and adapting instruction to individual student needs
- Familiarity with blended Mathematics approaches, including visual models, manipulatives, structured reasoning, inquiry-based learning, and Singapore Math-style techniques preferred
- Ability and willingness to act as a Group Advocate for one or more student groups
- Ability to teach selected additional subjects or interdisciplinary units based on strengths and interests
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field; teaching qualification preferred
- Strong spoken and written English
- Strong classroom management, communication, and parent-facing professionalism
- Ability to collaborate with teachers across subjects to support cross-curricular and interdisciplinary learning

Core Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons for primary and lower secondary students
- Build students’ mathematical fluency, conceptual understanding, reasoning, problem-solving ability, mathematical vocabulary, and confidence
- Differentiate instruction for small groups and individual learners based on readiness, ability, pace, and learning goals
- Use blended Mathematics techniques, including visual models, manipulatives, bar modelling, inquiry, discussion, worked examples, real-world application, and structured practice to deepen mathematical understanding
- Track student progress through formative assessment, observation, written work, internal assessment data, and progress documentation
- Help guide the quality, consistency, and development of Mathematics teaching across relevant student groups
- Serve as Group Advocate for one or more student groups, supporting academic progress, pastoral awareness, routines, communication, and whole-child development
- Teach selected additional subjects, projects, or interdisciplinary units aligned with the candidate’s strengths and student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialist teachers, and school leadership to ensure instructional alignment and strong student outcomes
- Contribute to individual learning plans, student progress reviews, and parent updates where required
- Support students in developing independence, resilience, organization, confidence, and accountability as learners
- Participate in school events, showcases, enrichment activities, and wider school initiatives
- Follow all safeguarding, health, safety, confidentiality, and school policies
- Participate in staff meetings, training, professional development, and curriculum refinement

- AED 18,000 – 22,000 per month, tax-free, including base salary and housing allowance, based on quality of experience, qualifications, and scope of responsibilities
