Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various warehouse operations, including materials handling, shipping and receiving, and inventory management.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast-paced logistics environment, contributing to the efficient movement of goods and ensuring quality standards are maintained. Prior warehouse experience is preferred, along with mechanical knowledge and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
Duties
- Handle materials efficiently, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and stocking of products
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and competently
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, including documentation and inventory updates
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track stock levels and order fulfilment
- Conduct quality control checks to maintain product standards
- Load and unload lorries safely, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Assist in organising storage areas for optimal space utilisation
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical equipment as required
- Support stock replenishment activities to ensure continuous product availability
- Open up building where necessary and ensure all doors and gates are locked at night
- Check stock against paperwork before booking in
- Book stock into system
- Put stock away in the correct location once it has been booked in
- Change locations as necessary ensuring system is updated
- Receive deliveries and sign for number of boxes received
- Pick orders showing particular attention to part number and quantity
- Follow Special Instructions on DPs
- Follow procedures for UK and Export picking and packing including documentation requirements
- Enter despatches onto carrier system
- Participate in periodic stock checks as instructed
- Return stock to shelves for completed Cases using WMS for tracking
- Conduct CR Counts accurately
- As Required - Organise same day carriers
- As Required - Create Cases for yourself and others to help improvement and development
- As Required - Cut tubing in a safe manner following procedure
- As required - Order supplies in good time considering cost and supplier reliability
- As required - Investigate stock discrepancies thoroughly before entering into WMS
- Daily - Manage collections ensuring correct documentation is filed
- As required - Scan DPs to WMT for Certification request and follow defined process
- Ensure the warehouse is clean and tidy at the end of each day
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or logistics environment
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques and forklift operation certification preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in stock management and quality control
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced setting
