PurposeResponsible for maintaining and growing customer relationships while ensuring that their needs are met effectively. This position is focused on driving customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth by acting as the primary point of contact between the customer and the organisation, often with the support of more senior sales managers
Core Responsibilities
- Account Growth & Management
- Actively contribute to the growth of Givaudan's business with designated lower-complexity accounts, managing revenue (top line) and cost (bottom line)
- Support and contribute to the development of account strategies for assigned accounts, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and learning from collaboration with senior colleagues
- Apply Givaudan pricing guidelines with assigned accounts including credit, pricing and rebates agreements within established guidelines, including credit, pricing and rebates and negotiate with support of senior account professionals when necessary.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build and manage strong relationships within a portfolio of accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Monitor customer behaviors and competitor activities to identify trends and opportunities for account growth
- Support the transition of customer projects and new wins from scale-up to production
- Planning & Reporting
- Monitor and assist in tracking the Annual Development Plan (ADP) to ensure that sales activities are on schedule and meet success criteria
- Regularly update and monitor customer information, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for internal teams
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work collaboratively across functions (eg Marketing, Technical, and Operations) to support customer needs and ensure project execution aligns with customer expectations
- Collaborate in the creation and delivery of internal and customer presentations, effectively communicating Givaudan’s value proposition and project updates
- Professional Development
- Engage in ongoing learning about Givaudan’s products, services, and industry trends to enhance expertise in the role
- Academic Background
- University degree
- Professional Experience3+ years functional/technical sales experience (B2B preferred)
Technical Skills
- Understands the key elements of the Annual Development Plan (ADP) and its significance in driving sales performance.
- Capable of assisting in the development of basic ADPs for key customers, aligning with their needs and business objectives.
- Proficient in utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate account performance, ensuring alignment with sales goals.
- Can identify and articulate the value drivers that are important to key customers, effectively communicating Givaudan’s value proposition.
- Possesses the ability to generate new business opportunities, leveraging the support and guidance of experienced account professionals.
- Has a foundational understanding of customer strategies, initiatives, priorities, and launch processes to better serve customer needs.
- Basic understanding of competitor activities and their impact on key customers
- Strong written and verbal communication proficiency in English, facilitating effective communication with customers and internal teams.
