The Opportunity
A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join a major transformation programme focused on strategic operating model design, business readiness, and large-scale organisational change.
This is a long-term contract opportunity offering the chance to play a pivotal role in shaping future-state operating models across multiple international locations. You'll work closely with programme leadership, operational readiness teams, business stakeholders, and transformation workstreams to deliver meaningful business change across people, process, and technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of future-state Target Operating Models (TOM)
- Conduct current-state assessments and gap analysis across operational processes
- Develop and maintain operating model documentation across multiple levels, including:
- High-level process maps and capability assessments
- Team interaction and process ownership models
- Swimlane process flows for key operational processes and exceptions
- Detailed procedural and operational documentation
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements
- Partner with programme management teams to ensure delivery milestones, risks, and dependencies are effectively managed
- Work closely with Operational Readiness teams to support business adoption and organisational preparedness
- Facilitate workshops and engage with stakeholders across business and technology functions
- Identify, manage, and escalate programme risks and issues
- Represent the operating model workstream within governance forums and stakeholder meetings
- Support business readiness planning and transformation execution activities
Required Experience
- Essential
- Extensive Business Analysis experience within Financial Services
- Proven track record supporting large-scale transformation programmes
- Strong experience designing or documenting Target Operating Models
- Deep understanding of end-to-end operational processes, systems landscapes, and data flows
- Experience conducting gap analysis and current-state/future-state assessments
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills
- Experience working across process, technology, and organisational change initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior leadership
- Strong risk, governance, and issue management experience
- Ability to influence and challenge stakeholders constructively
- Desirable
- Experience within Banking, Asset Management, Custody, Fund Services, or Capital Markets environments
- Exposure to business readiness or operational readiness programmes
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams and complex international operating models
- Strong process mapping and workflow documentation expertise
