As the Regional IT Operations Manager, you will be the architectural and operational backbone of our ambitious international retail expansion. You will take full ownership of designing, deploying, and managing the end-to-end in-store technology ecosystem across 14 expansion regions (excluding Hong Kong and Mainland China).
This role requires a unique blend of hands-on technical architecture, cross-border vendor management, and retail operational excellence. You will ensure that every new international storefront has a standardized, highly resilient, and secure deployment footprint encompassing network infrastructure, core transaction software, loss prevention systems, digital engagement, and operational analytics.
Frequent international travel is required.
Develop, maintain, and scale the standardized "Store-in-a-Box" Network Infrastructure blueprint for all new international markets.
Architect and oversee the deployment of secure edge networking, including SD-WAN, high-availability firewalls, switching, and automated 4G/5G cellular failover solutions to guarantee 99.9% store uptime.
Manage network segmentation and local systems compliance to guarantee strict adherence to PCI-DSS standards and local data privacy laws (e.g., PDPA, APPs), ensuring payment traffic is isolated from general store operations.
Lead the deployment, localization, configuration, and technical support matrix for enterprise cloud-based POS applications across all 14 expansion markets.
Partner with regional business teams and external payment providers to integrate local payment gateways, global acquirers (e.g., Adyen, Stripe), and regional digital wallets into the retail frontline.
Ensure POS application architecture supports seamless offline transaction capabilities and robust, near-real-time synchronization with centralized back-end ERP, CRM, and Inventory Management systems.
Standardize and manage the deployment of in-store IP-based CCTV and DVR/NVR surveillance systems across all regions.
Ensure local storage retention policies meet both corporate security standards and regional legal compliance regulations.
Architect secure remote access frameworks allowing regional security teams to view video feeds centrally without compromising local store network bandwidth or integrity.
Oversee the infrastructure, hardware provisioning, and content-delivery network (CDN) integrations for in-store Digital Signage Systems and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL).
Collaborate with marketing and corporate IT teams to ensure the local store networks can dynamically pull and display centralized media content and real-time pricing updates without localized service disruption.
Manage the deployment, calibration, and integration of overhead IoT Traffic Counter Systems (e.g., 3D stereoscopic counters, Wi-Fi analytics) to track footfall accurately across all international expansion storefronts.
Ensure local traffic data is cleanly captured, structured, and pushed to centralized data warehouses and business intelligence (BI) platforms for regional performance analysis.
Identify, negotiate SLA terms with, and govern Managed Service Providers (MSPs), localized low-voltage contractors, and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) within each of the 14 target countries to ensure top-tier local field support.
Establish hardware procurement, imaging, staging, and warehousing strategies within the regions to bypass cross-border customs delays and minimize store deployment lead times.
Experience: Minimum 5–8 years of progressive IT infrastructure and operations experience, with a proven track record in a regional or multi-country capacity specifically within the Retail, F&B, FMCG, or Luxury industries.
Frontline Retail Domain Expertise: Deep, verifiable experience managing enterprise POS applications, local/global payment terminal integrations, and high-transaction retail environments.
Hardware & Edge Systems Knowledge: Hands-on familiarity with modern network hardware (Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, or similar), IP-CCTV/DVR infrastructure, digital signage platforms, and footfall/traffic counting IoT equipment.
Project Management: Proven track record of managing multiple concurrent, cross-border IT projects or greenfield store rollouts under tight commercial deadlines. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly regarded.
Frameworks: Certified or thoroughly well-versed in ITIL frameworks (Service Design, Transition, and Operation).
Language & Agility: Fluency in English is mandatory. Exceptional communication skills are required to align with senior corporate stakeholders in HK while managing diverse third-party vendors and field engineers across Asia and other global regions.
Travel: Willingness to travel regionally as required to support landmark store flagships or critical vendor audits.
