Trade Support Analyst – Trading Operations & Automation

Optiver is seeking a Trade Support Analyst to join our trading team in Amsterdam. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of trading operations, engineering, and innovation.

You will own critical trading workflows end-to-end while driving automation, scalability, and next-generation tooling across our systems. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our trading operations while actively shaping how we evolve—through automation, data, and AI-driven solutions.

What You'll Do

• You will take full ownership of trading support processes, combining operational excellence with continuous improvement and automation.
• Trading operations
• Manage and execute critical trading support workflows across asset classes, including cash equities, options, and futures.
• Own the full trade lifecycle, including trade processing, reconciliation, settlements, corporate actions, and trade confirmations.
• Support exchange trade crossing workflows across multiple venues.
• Ensure accurate trade booking and timely clearing of positions.
• Own monitoring and control of trading and post-trade processes, proactively identifying and mitigating operational risk.
• Build dashboards and controls to track positions, risk, and operational health.
• Act as a key point of contact for exchanges, brokers, and counterparties.
• Automation & engineering
• Design and build automation to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Develop internal tools and scripts (Python, SQL) to improve scalability and resilience.
• Partner closely with developers and traders to productionize solutions.
• Continuously optimize systems, data flows, and operational efficiency.
• Innovation & AI focus
• Explore and implement AI and agentic workflows to enhance operations.
• Identify opportunities to leverage data and automation for smarter decision-making.
• Contribute to building the next generation of intelligent operational tooling.

Who You Are

• Experience in trade support/operations within financial markets.
• Exposure to equities and/or derivatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, trading floor environment/Technical & mindset fit
• Proficient in Python and SQL.Strong interest in automation and engineering-driven solutions.
• Motivated to work with AI/agentic workflows and emerging technologies.
• Thinks in terms of scalability, efficiency, and system design, not just process execution.
