Business AnalystLocation: Seoul, Korea

Role Overview

This is a great opportunity to join a large-scale global eCommerce program for one of Korea’s top chaebol, with rollout across 60–70 markets worldwide. You will be part of a well-established, long-term project where SmartOSC has been a trusted partner for over five years, working alongside a 250+ member international team based in Seoul.

The role offers strong exposure to a complex, high-impact environment that spans both business and technical dimensions, and involves close collaboration with the client, global stakeholders, and world-class vendors across the program.

We are looking for someone with strong communication and analytical skills, ideally with experience in IT services, software development, or digital consulting, and who enjoys working in multicultural, cross-functional teams.

Candidates with experience working with Korean clients or global stakeholders will be especially well suited to this opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from clients and stakeholders
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and user stories for technical teams
• Analyze existing business processes and propose improvement solutions
• Work closely with PMs, developers, QA, designers, and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation
• Support project planning, scope clarification, and change request management
• Participate in UAT preparation, testing coordination, and issue tracking
• Act as a communication bridge between clients and internal teams
• Participate in global eCommerce projects involving regional and international stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or related role in IT services/software development
• Experience participating in eCommerce or digital platform projects is highly preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams
• Fluent Korean and good English communication skills.
