Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled AWS Backend Engineer. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with serverless architecture, CI/CD, and AWS-native services. You will work closely with our development and support teams to ensure efficient deployment, monitoring, and security of our enterprise SaaS platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage scalable AWS backend components using Typescript, Serverless YAML, and Javascript.
- Implement microservices architecture to enhance application scalability and maintainability.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure high-quality code delivery.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and support development and QA teams in staging and production environments
- Ensure best practices for cloud security, cost management, scalability and disaster recovery.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing AWS Components
- Experience programming in Typescript or Javascript
- Experience using Visual Code or Cursor.
- Strong understanding of multi-thread processing and the use of Promises.
- Strong understanding of REST API concepts.
- Strong understanding of database principles.
- Understanding of the use of interfaces and classes.
- Strong experience with AWS services, including Lambda, Cognito, CloudFront, WAF, Cloud
- Watch, S3, and DynamoDB.Proficiency with infrastructure as code (e.g., Cloud
- Formation, Serverless)
- Familiarity with BitBucket, Jira, and DevOps practices for enterprise SaaS environments
- Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines is a plus - especially with iOS build and distribution processes.
- Experience with VPN setup and SSO integration (including SAML or OIDC)
- Excellent troubleshooting, automation, and scripting skills (node.js , Typescript, Bash, Python).
- Experience using Webpack.
