Role Overview
This role focuses on designing and building the core data infrastructure that supports global investment processes. You will work closely with researchers and investment teams to deliver accurate, reliable, and scalable data solutions that directly influence portfolio decisions across markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines to ingest and process large volumes of global financial data
- Build and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
- Implement data validation and quality control frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Integrate and standardise data from multiple external sources across regions and asset classes
- Collaborate with investment, analytics, and research teams to deliver high-quality data products
- Contribute to architectural decisions, tooling choices, and engineering best practices
- Monitor and optimise data workflows and system performance
Key Requirements
- 7+ years' experience building and maintaining production-grade data pipelines
- Proven experience working with financial market data within asset management, hedge funds, or capital markets environments
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake)
- Advanced SQL skills and solid understanding of data modelling principles
- Experience designing data systems used by downstream stakeholders such as analysts or researchers
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and consistency
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical trade-offs
- Nice to Have:
- Experience working with external financial data providers and vendor integrations
- Exposure to handling corporate actions, reconciliation, and point-in-time data accuracy
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
- Experience working in global or cross-regional teams
