Role Description
This is a full-time Demand Generation & Marketing Specialist/Manager role at Whale Tech. The primary responsibilities of this role include driving pipeline growth through lead generation activities, supporting the sales team in opportunity development, and managing lead nurturing across Southeast Asia and APAC markets.
We are seeking a commercially minded and execution-focused individual with strong business acumen and experience in B2B lead generation. The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging with cold and warm prospects, building relationships with event organizers, partners, and business communities, and supporting sales conversion efforts through effective demand generation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute lead generation initiatives to support pipeline growth and sales objectives across SEA/APAC markets.
- Identify and engage potential prospects through outbound outreach, industry events, partnerships, and business networks.
- Work closely with the sales team to nurture and warm up cold leads, supporting follow-ups and conversion opportunities.
- Coordinate with events, organizations, partners, and industry communities to expand business opportunities and market presence.
- Manage and maintain lead databases, track engagement activities, and ensure timely follow-up with prospects.
- Support account-based marketing and field marketing initiatives to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
- Assist in developing localized go-to-market activities for Southeast Asian markets.
- Monitor campaign and pipeline performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment between marketing activities and sales targets to maximize business growth.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in Demand Generation, Lead Generation, Field Marketing, Account-Based Marketing, Partner/Channel Marketing, or related B2B commercial roles.
- Experience working with Southeast Asia or APAC markets is highly preferred.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify commercial opportunities and support deal progression.
- Comfortable engaging with cold leads and nurturing them into qualified opportunities.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (spoken).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Prior experience in B2B technology, SaaS, software, or enterprise solutions industries is a plus.
