Primary Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the talent acquisition team to develop the talent acquisition strategy in Greater China to align and support business growth
- Proactively identify and attract high-quality Relationship Managers from the private banking and wealth management industry
- Execute direct sourcing strategies including market mapping, networking, referrals, headhunting, and online searching portals
- Lead the full spectrum of recruiting and selection activities from initial outreach to offer negotiation
- Build and maintain a robust talent pipeline of candidates with proven AUM and high-net-worth client books
- Manage relationships with external recruitment and search partners to ensure high-quality candidate shortlists
- Ensure all recruitment activity complies with internal policies and regulatory standards such as the Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme
- Provide a premium, discreet candidate experience that aligns with the firm’s ultra-high-net-worth service standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to track and forecast ongoing hiring needs for the business
Requirements
- Established network of contacts within the financial services and private wealth community
- In-depth understanding of the private banking/wealth management landscape, including AUM metrics and investment product knowledge; knowledge in the family office/external asset management industry is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years’ work experience with at least 3 years specifically focused on Private Banking and/or Wealth Management roles; proven track record of successfully hiring Relationship Managers within the Greater China market is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority searches
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams while navigating a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and drive results independently
- Persistent with sound judgement, situational awareness and emotional maturity to navigate stakeholder dynamics and adjust approach accordingly
- Strong intellectual curiosity and learning agility, with the ability to rapidly grasp business, regulatory, and market nuances
- Fluency in Cantonese, English and Mandarin is required to engage with regional stakeholders and candidates
