Position Summary
The Senior Director, Business Development – Americas serves as the commercial leader for the Americas region, responsible for driving revenue growth, operating profit expansion, and strategic customer development. This role leads regional business development, key account management, sales execution, forecasting, and market strategy while overseeing the Americas Business Development team.
Reporting to the SVP, Chief Strategy & Business Development Officer, the position is accountable for achieving regional revenue and profitability objectives, expanding Multek’s presence in targeted growth markets, strengthening executive-level customer relationships, and securing new business opportunities across Multek’s advanced technology portfolio, including Rigid PCB, Flex PCB, Rigid-Flex PCB, and assembly solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Regional Sales Leadership
- Lead and develop the Americas sales organization, providing direction, support, and accountability to Business Development Managers, Account Managers, and other commercial team members.
- Establish regional sales strategies, priorities, and performance objectives aligned with corporate growth initiatives.
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on customer engagement, new business development, profitability, forecasting accuracy, and operational excellence.
- Partner closely with Executive Leadership to develop and execute regional growth strategies.
- Revenue Growth & Business Development
- Own and deliver regional revenue, operating profit, and business development objectives.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to penetrate targeted customers, markets, and applications.
- Personally engage in pursuing key strategic customers, executive-level sales opportunities, and strategic account development activities.
- Expand Multek's position within high-growth customers and markets including AI, cloud computing, networking, automotive, industrial, medical, and other targeted segments.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities that support long-term revenue and profitability growth.
- Strategic Account & Customer Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customer decision-makers at strategic accounts throughout the Americas.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer and potential customer procurement, engineering, operational and leadership teams.
- Lead key customer engagements, business reviews, escalation management, and commercial terms negotiations.
- Target strategic partnerships with customers aligned with Multek's manufacturing capabilities, technology roadmap, and business objectives.
- Forecasting, Pipeline & Business Planning
- Own regional forecasting, pipeline management, and long-range business planning processes.
- Ensure accurate sales forecasts, opportunity tracking, and revenue projections across the region.
- Lead quarterly business reviews, account planning activities, and pipeline review processes.
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term revenue growth plans for strategic customers and target markets.
- Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate closely with the company’s Application Engineering, Asia-based Operations, Finance, and Leadership teams to support customer requirements and company growth initiatives.
- Drive alignment between customer requirements and manufacturing, engineering, and operational capabilities.
- Support strategic capacity and capability planning to align with evolving customer and market requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication between customers and internal functions to ensure successful execution and customer satisfaction.
- Commercial & Financial Management
- Lead commercial negotiations involving pricing, supply terms, and other commercial business matters.
- Drive operating profit improvement through pricing discipline, customer portfolio management, and strategic business decisions.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Partner with Finance to resolve commercial issues, accounts receivable concerns, and customer-related financial matters.
- Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning
- Monitor industry trends, competitive dynamics, technology developments, and market opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to executive leadership regarding growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and market expansion initiatives.
- Represent Multek at industry conferences, customer events, and trade associations.
- Travel and Work Schedule Flexibility
- Travel as required to support customer engagement, business development initiatives, industry events, and internal business activities.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support customers, colleagues, and business operations across multiple global time zones, including participation in meetings and calls outside standard business hours when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive sales, business development, or commercial leadership experience within the PCB, electronics manufacturing, EMS, semiconductor, or related technology industries.
- Technical knowledge, experience, or educational background in PCB/PCBA, electronics, electromechanical systems, or related technologies.
- Proven track record of leading high-performing sales organizations and delivering sustained revenue and profitability growth.
- Experience managing strategic customer relationships and complex commercial negotiations with large multinational customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Established network of industry contacts and strong relationships within targeted market segments.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence customers, partners, and internal stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Deep understanding of PCB manufacturing technologies, electronics manufacturing processes, and advanced technology markets.
- Demonstrated success in sales leadership, business planning, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Strong commercial, financial, and strategic business acumen.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, team development, and organizational management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Additional Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.
- Additional language capabilities, particularly Mandarin, are considered a plus.
Work Environment
The work environment is primarily office-based with frequent customer-facing activities, including travel to customer sites, industry events, and Multek manufacturing facilities. The noise level is generally moderate.
