Financial Analyst - Corporate ModellingWelcome to the TeamAt Nexans, we are electrifying the future. As part of the Group Finance team, you will join a highly visible function at the heart of strategic decision-making. Reporting directly to the Group Deputy CFO, you will play a key role in maintaining and developing the Group's corporate financial model, supporting executive decision-making, strategic planning, and value creation initiatives across the business.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior finance leaders and gain exposure to some of the most important strategic discussions within Nexans.
Getting a Flying StartAs Financial Analyst – Corporate Modelling, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing Nexans' financial corporate model, a critical tool used to support strategic planning, budgeting, valuation exercises, investor communications, and executive decision-making.
You will combine strong financial modelling expertise with business insight, helping translate operational performance and market developments into meaningful financial forecasts and strategic scenarios. Your analyses will directly contribute to discussions at Executive Committee and Board level while supporting the Group's continued growth and transformation.
How You Make an ImpactMaintain, develop, and continuously improve the Group's corporate financial model and mid-term planning tools.
Analyze financial forecasts from business units and challenge assumptions to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Support budgeting, long-term planning, scenario analysis, and strategic finance projects across the Group.
Prepare financial analyses and materials supporting Executive Committee, Board, investor, and market communication activities.
Contribute to impairment testing, asset valuation exercises, and deferred tax analysis in partnership with consolidation and finance teams.
Monitor industry trends, market developments, and analyst reports to enhance forecasting quality and strategic insights.
Your Starting PointsMaster's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field from a leading university or business school.
Minimum 5 years of experience in financial modelling, valuation, transaction services, equity research, corporate finance, strategic FP&A, or a similar analytical environment.
Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation methodologies, forecasting, and financial statement analysis.
Solid understanding of IFRS and corporate finance principles.
Advanced Excel skills; knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
Fluent in both French and English, with excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
