Pixel Systems
We are adding a Data Operations Coordinator to our team to help clean, format, and prepare client databases for modern integrations. We are assisting a major supply chain partner to move their inventory systems away from unstable spreadsheets and into clean, organized databases.
This is a full-time, entry-level position that offers competitive, attractive pay and a hybrid work setup, split between remote work and collaborative days in our team space. About Pixel Systems Pixel Systems is a small software agency that builds the tools teams actually use. We do not build flashy consumer apps or marketing landing pages.
Instead, we focus on the practical systems that run businesses: admin panels, CRM integrations, and database migrations. Our clients come to us when they need to replace a sprawling spreadsheet with a real database or get their different software tools to communicate with one another. Our approach is straightforward.
We provide fixed quotes, run weekly demos, and when a project is done, we hand over everything, including the code, the documentation, and walkthrough videos. We use reliable, well-tested technologies like Node, React, and Postgres because we want the systems we build to be stable and easy to maintain. We prefer solving real operational headaches over chasing technical trends.
As a Data Operations Coordinator, you will focus on moving data between legacy systems and our new database setups. A lot of this work involves cleaning up messy corporate spreadsheets, checking for duplicate client records, and writing scripts to map old data fields to new databases. You will work side by side with our developers to make sure the data we import is clean, formatted, and accurate.
When errors happen during an import, you will track down the causes, fix the data errors in the source files, and try again. It is hands-on, quiet, and detail-oriented operational work. What We Need From You We do not expect you to have years of database experience, but we do need you to be comfortable with the basics of organizing information.
Here is what we are looking for: Excellent organizational skills and a natural patience for sorting through large amounts of data. A basic understanding of spreadsheets, including formulas, filtering, and nested data logic. The ability to write clean, simple, and readable code or scripts without overcomplicating things. A clear communication style.
You will document how you cleaned the data so our developers can replicate your steps. A practical mindset. You are happy to work on the less glamorous parts of software development that keep businesses running smoothly.
Helpful Background These are not strict requirements, but it will help if you have some familiarity with: Basic SQL queries and relational databases like Postgres or MySQL. Writing basic scripts in JavaScript or Python to automate repetitive tasks. Collaborating with others using tools like Git and GitHub. Reading and testing REST APIs or working with JSON data structures.
Pixel Systems We are a flat, small team of developers and designers. There are no layers of middle management here. We work in a hybrid format: you will have the flexibility to work from home most days, alongside scheduled collaborative sessions at our local workspaces to plan migrations and sync on projects. We offer attractive, competitive pay and value structured, calm working hours.
We do not encourage late-night overtime or weekend emergencies. Instead, we focus on producing tidy, predictable work that helps real people, like warehouse managers or operations teams, complete their daily tasks with less frustration. If you enjoy finding order in messy files and want to understand how database migrations work from the ground up, we think you would fit in well here.
We are a practical team that values clear progress over long meetings. We look forward to talking with you about how we can work together.
