Higher College Of Technology is hiring a Faculty – Computer Information Science UAE in Dubai. This is a full-time position.

A college in the UAE needs a qualified Faculty member in Computer Information Science. This full time role involves teaching courses, advancing the curriculum, and ensuring relevance to industry standards. You will also contribute to research goals and use research activities to inform your teaching. In addition, you will develop students’ analytical and problem solving skills.

You will play an active role in curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation. The learning environment is applied and student centric. If you have a PhD or a master degree with a professional certification and five years of teaching and industry experience, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities for Faculty

• Teach computer information science courses at undergraduate level. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with industry needs. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to advancing the curriculum. Ensure it meets accreditation and international standards. Use research activities to inform your teaching. Help students develop analytical and problem solving skills.
• Play an active role in curriculum development, assessment, and evaluation. Participate in meeting the division’s research goals and objectives. Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences.
• Assist in developing and administering system wide and directorate specific policies. Participate in academic and extracurricular events at the college and within the community.
• Maintain a student centric learning environment. Respect students’ culture and traditions. Finally, perform other duties as assigned by the division.

Qualifications

You need a PhD or a master degree with a professional certification relevant to the discipline. Five years of teaching and industry experience is required. Appropriate academic and professional qualifications as needed are also required. A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience is preferred. Experience in developing course curriculum according to accreditation and international standards is essential.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. A commitment to applied, student centric learning is also important.
