Project Manager

LAB3 is one of the largest Azure engineering practices in the Australasia region with a focus on Cloud & DevOps, Data, IoT & AI, Modern Workplace, Security, and Network services. We have an exciting new permanent role for an Intermediate Project Manager based in Sydney in our Professional Services Team. You will ideally have Baseline or NV1 security clearance or be an Australian citizen able to be cleared.

The Role

Manage, lead and influence technical project teams, vendors and partners to deliver effective project outcomes whilst managing risk, issues, and quality of the deliverables. Raise variations internally or with the client when required to ensure profitability, timeliness, and effectiveness of the delivered outcomes.

Identify, establish, build, and maintain relationships (through regular communication) with key client stakeholders to understand and manage their drivers and issues.

Work with and influence stakeholders to achieve satisfactory client and project outcome. Identify opportunities, work collaboratively, and manage projects to deliver client strategic outcomes.

Initiate, facilitate and lead client workshops that support the definition of non-functional and functional requirements, with a consultancy led approach.

Prepare, maintain, and track progress of project schedules, reports, resource forecasts, RAID logs, minutes, project documentation and project finances in line with governance objectives to a high standard and in a timely fashion.

Support the development, estimation and review of SOWs and solutions for internal and client projects.

Establish and follow the project rhythm of regular meetings, stand-ups, project status reports, meeting minutes, governance meetings and steering committeesProvide clear, concise, and timely updates to progress and escalations when required.

Identify, interpret, and communicate meaningful insights, conclusions, cost estimations, presentations, and report to LAB3 clients, as necessary.

Support the internal uplift of our LAB3 Project Delivery capability. Drive enhancement of our team frameworks, practice structure, governance, reporting, processes, and procedures.

Deliver projects within the LAB3 delivery framework and the appropriate use of applied Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban & DevOps methodologies primarily across IT projects.

The ideal candidate

• You are a Junior/Intermediate-level Project Manager with experience managing and/or coordinating technology projects for clients.
• Vendor/ Consultancy background: You understand the challenges of delivering to a client and can be flexible with changing priorities.
• An understanding of the Microsoft technology stack including Azure, modernisation and AIClear communication and exceptional organisational skills are essential.
• You are based in Sydney and open to be onsite with the client when required.
• This is a Hybrid role.
• You are an Australian Citizen with NV1 security clearance.
