JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated Product Owner to serve as the dedicated point person for the Digital Commercial Insurance team. This role is responsible for defining the product vision, driving delivery, and ensuring the platform is optimized to meet the needs of customers, business stakeholders, and internal users.

This is a hands-on role that requires strong organizational and time management skills, the ability to manage competing priorities across geographically dispersed teams, creative problem-solving, and excellent communication skills to manage delivery risks and keep stakeholders informed.

The ideal candidate will bring strong insurance knowledge, preferably in commercial insurance, along with hands-on experience in end-to-end digital product management. This role will own the product lifecycle from visioning and planning through execution, measurement, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, OKRs, and roadmap for the products.
• Represent business stakeholders and translate business needs into prioritized product features.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, including research, planning, execution, measurement, and continuous improvement.
• Develop, prioritize, and maintain the product roadmap and squad backlog to support business outcomes and speed to market.
• Partner with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are captured accurately and at the right level of detail.
• Drive clarity, review, and approval of user stories for the development team.
• Collaborate with Technical Leads and Architects to shape solutions and define enablers.
• Support release planning, quality assurance, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Monitor dependencies and risks, and work with stakeholders to mitigate or resolve issues.
• Track key metrics aligned to OKRs and use insights to inform roadmap decisions.
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with company reporting, audit, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Technology, Finance, Economics, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.8+ years of experience in a Product Ownership or similar role
• Hands-on experience in digital product management, preferably in an insurance environment.
• Strong knowledge of the insurance industry, ideally commercial insurance.
• Experience working in Agile environments with product roadmaps, backlogs, and sprint delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders across business and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of solution design, SDLC, and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think strategically while also managing day-to-day execution.
