Housekeeping Coordinator
Job Description
- Coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure smooth departmental activities.
- Maintain and update room status reports, cleaning schedules, and assignments.
- Communicate with Front Office regarding room availability, guest requests, and priority rooms.
- Handle guest requests and ensure timely follow-up.
- Prepare daily reports, attendance records, duty rosters, and departmental documentation.
- Coordinate maintenance requests with Engineering and follow up on pending issues.
- Monitor housekeeping supplies, amenities, linen inventory, and stock levels.
- Handle departmental calls, emails, and internal communications.
- Maintain accurate lost and found records in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper with administrative and operational tasks.
- Ensure effective communication between housekeeping colleagues and other departments.
- Support compliance with hotel cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and service standards.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a luxury hotel.
- Knowledge of housekeeping operations and room status management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel systems, preferably Opera.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Positive attitude, teamwork skills, and guest-focused mindset.
