Sales Director, Northern Region

About Check Point

Check Point protects enterprises and governments from the most sophisticated AI-driven threats and attacks. Our mission is to secure our customers' AI transformation. If you care about making the world a safer place, you belong with us.

The Opportunity

Check Point is investing in ANZ and the Northern region. This is one of the most important appointments we will make this year. You will own the Northern region business, serving some of the country's most important enterprise and public sector organisations.

You will lead the Northern pod: direct leadership of the sales team, and accountability for orchestrating engineering, specialists, customer success, services, marketing and partners around each customer.

What you'll do

• Lead from the front. Be visible with customers, partners and the team. Build senior executive relationships, create openings and step into our most strategic pursuits.
• Create growth. Drive new logos, competitive take-outs and expansion into new solution areas, while growing our core business.
• Run a disciplined business. Coach strong account plans, early pipeline creation, rigorous opportunity progression and forecasts the business can rely on.
• Build a team people want to join. Set clear expectations, coach with candour, celebrate wins and address gaps promptly.
• Keep the organisation moving. Surface blockers fast, clear the path for your team and make the call.

What success looks like in your first year

• A healthy, growing pipeline
• New logos and competitive take-outs landed in the region's priority accounts
• Executive relationships you personally build and own in our most strategic customers
• A fully staffed, stable Northern team that the best people in the market want to join

What you bring

You are an experienced enterprise and cybersecurity sales leader and, importantly, you love the game. You know how to create an executive relationship from scratch, find the opening in an account, coach a seller through a difficult pursuit and step into a major deal when it counts.

• A strong track record leading enterprise cybersecurity sales teams, creating new business while growing an established portfolio
• An established CISO/CIO network in enterprise accounts
• Genuine cybersecurity credibility: able to hold a substantive security and architecture conversation with a CISO in your own right
• Player-coach range: as comfortable coaching your team as engaging a CIO, CISO or senior business executive
• High standards in pipeline creation, account planning, opportunity progression and forecast accuracy
• Experience selling to the Australian Federal Government, or a credible plan to build those relationships quickly
• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance (preferred)
• Confidence, curiosity, resilience, a bias to action and a low-ego, collaborative approach

If this sounds like you but you don't tick every box, we'd still like to hear from you.

Our culture

and why join our ANZ team

We are building a team with high expectations that enjoys growing the business together, alongside some of the brightest minds in AI and cybersecurity. We expect leaders to be visible, people to speak openly, commitments to mean something and problems to surface rather than hide.

A personal note from the MD

This role matters. The Northern leader will shape what Check Point becomes in Australia, and I am looking for a partner in that, not just a direct report.

I care about how people lead as much as what they deliver: whether their team grows, whether customers want them in the room, and whether people do their best work around them. If that is how you lead, I would love to talk.
