Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Senior Dry Engineer to join our award winning team in Riyadh, Saudi.
- Lead and manage dry utilities works, including design coordination, relocation, protection, and diversion activities.
- Plan and oversee utility relocation and temporary diversions, ensuring alignment with project requirements and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate and manage interfaces between dry utilities, roadworks, and other disciplines, ensuring seamless integration across all project elements.
- Take ownership of interface management, identifying risks and ensuring effective coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
- Liaise and coordinate with utility authorities and government stakeholders in Riyadh, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely approvals.
- Carry out detailed technical coordination with utility bodies to resolve design and construction challenges efficiently.
- Provide troubleshooting and proactive problem-solving throughout both design and construction phases, particularly in resolving utility conflicts.
- Support and advise on the application of trenchless construction techniques, including HDD, microtunnelling, and directional drilling.
- Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, and technical submissions related to dry utilities.
- Ensure strong collaboration between design office and site teams to deliver practical, constructible, and efficient solutions.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure alignment and smooth project delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative dry utility solutions, demonstrating the ability to craft and execute practical engineering approaches.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include;
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 10–15 years of experience in dry utilities engineering within major infrastructure or road projects.
- Proven experience in utility relocation and temporary diversions.
- Strong technical expertise in dry utility construction methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience and awareness of trenchless drilling techniques (HDD, microtunnelling, directional drilling).
- Minimum 4–7 years of experience working in/around Riyadh or KSA, with strong knowledge of local utility authorities and stakeholders.
- Proven track record in technical coordination with utility bodies.
- Strong experience in interface management across complex infrastructure projects.
- Excellent troubleshooting and proactive problem-solving capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing dry utility solutions on major projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working closely with design offices within large contractors or consultancy environments.
