About the Role
We are looking for a sincere, disciplined, and patient-friendly Home Sample Collection Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The candidate will be responsible for visiting patients’ homes for sample collection, ensuring safe and hygienic procedures, maintaining sample quality, and delivering a positive patient experience.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy field work, patient interaction, and being part of a trusted diagnostic lab team that directly supports accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit patients’ homes for sample collection as per scheduled appointments in your assigned area.
- Verify patient details carefully before collection to ensure accuracy and patient safety.
- Collect blood, urine, and other samples using proper clinical techniques and standard tools.
- Follow complete hygiene and safety practices, including use of gloves, masks, sterile needles, and clean equipment.
- Label samples correctly and update all required documentation or app entries accurately.
- Maintain proper cold chain and safe handling of samples during transportation.
- Ensure samples are delivered to the lab on time for smooth and accurate reporting.
- Interact with patients politely, patiently, and professionally, especially elderly patients and home-care cases.
- Keep your supervisor informed about any delay, patient concern, difficult collection, or route issue.
- Maintain phlebo kit, equipment, and collection material in clean and ready-to-use condition.
- Follow infection control, biomedical waste, and safety protocols at all times.
- Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality of all patient-related information.
- Create a positive patient experience by handling minor concerns with empathy and confidence.
- Represent the lab professionally during every home visit and help build patient trust.

Requirements
- Qualification: DMLT, CMLT, BMLT, or relevant phlebotomy training preferred.
- Prior experience in blood sample collection/home collection will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of sample collection, labeling, and basic infection control practices.
- Must be polite, punctual, disciplined, and patient-focused.
- Should be comfortable with field visits and route-based work.
- Basic mobile/app usage skills required.
- Two-wheeler preferred.
