Q-AI Hub is a pioneering research, innovation, and entrepreneurship initiative hosted at ENICarthage, University of Carthage, Tunisia, focused on the convergence of Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, and deep-tech innovation.

The hub’s mission is to design, develop, and deploy hybrid Quantum-AI solutions that address real-world challenges in healthcare, industry, environment, cybersecurity, and other sectors. Built on four pillars—Education & Training, Research & Innovation, Industry Collaboration, and Entrepreneurship & Startup Incubation—the hub acts as a catalyst for a vibrant Quantum-AI ecosystem in Tunisia and the broader region.

Through hands-on projects, industry partnerships, workshops, mentoring, and structured incubation, Q-AI Hub supports students, researchers, and innovators in transforming scientific ideas into impactful technologies and sustainable ventures.

The hub actively prepares the next generation of engineers, researchers, and tech entrepreneurs to anticipate the quantum era and build Quantum-AI applications and startups with global potential.

Role Description

The Owner of Q-AI Hub will provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the initiative, ensuring alignment with its mission and long-term vision. This full-time, remote role involves defining and executing the hub’s strategy across education, research, industry collaboration, and entrepreneurship.

Day-to-day responsibilities include setting priorities, overseeing program design and delivery, and coordinating research and innovation roadmaps in Quantum Computing, AI, and deep-tech. The Owner will build and maintain partnerships with universities, industry, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders, while supervising funding efforts, budgets, and resource allocation.

The role also includes mentoring core team members, supporting startup incubation activities, representing the hub at events and conferences, and ensuring good governance, transparency, and impact measurement.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership and management skills, including experience setting vision, defining roadmaps, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong background in technology or science, ideally in Quantum Computing, Artificial Intelligence, data science, or related deep-tech domains.
• Experience in innovation, R&D management, or tech entrepreneurship, with a track record in launching or scaling programs, products, or ventures.
• Partnership-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with academia, industry, investors, and public institutions.
• Experience in fundraising, grant writing, budgeting, and financial oversight for research or innovation initiatives.
• Program design and operations skills, including development of educational programs, workshops, hackathons, or incubation/acceleration initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional language skills (e.g., French or Arabic) are an advantage.
