What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Groomer, you are the backbone of our salon’s daily operations, ensuring our furry clients feel safe, clean, and loved. Your main responsibilities include:
- Bathing & Drying: Confidently brush, detangle, bathe, and blow-dry dogs and cats of various breeds and sizes.
- Basic Hygiene Prep: Perform nail clipping, ear cleaning, paw pad trimming, and sanitary shaves.
- Pet Handling & Safety: Safely handle and calm anxious or energetic pets during the grooming process, prioritizing their well-being at all times.
- Salon Maintenance: Keep the grooming stations, tools, and salon floor clean, sanitized, and organized to maintain our high standards of hygiene.
- Customer Service: Assist with welcoming clients, managing appointments, and ensuring a smooth check-in/check-out process.
Who We Are Looking For
- The Ultimate Animal Lover: A genuine passion for animals and a patient, gentle approach to handling them.
- Experience: Prior experience in a pet salon, vet clinic, or animal shelter is highly preferred, but a strong willingness to learn is a must.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift/handle heavier dogs.
- Team Player: A positive, proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Reliability: Punctual, responsible, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
