for an Administrative Officer 1 located in Juneau, Alaska!
The Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division or Wildlife Conservation, is recruiting for an Administrative Officer 1 position to join our team in Juneau.
This position offers a broad range of professional-level administrative work that regularly requires analytical ability, good judgment and discretion in the application of substantial body of knowledge of the principles, concepts and practices of administrative support.
This position is part of the Division of Wildlife Conservation (DWC) headquarters administrative team and supports headquarters staff, as well as the Statewide Information Services, Data Management, and Education Outreach programs. This position supervises one Administrative Assistant 2 located in Juneau and is under the general supervision of the Administrative Officer 2 located in Anchorage.
The Administrative Officer works independently, provides leadership and management support in the areas of budget preparation, procurement, personnel management, and payroll.

The position allows a flexible work schedule and potential for hybrid telework agreement after a training period.
The position is located in Juneau in the Fish and Game building that sits next to the whale monument in the downtown area overlooking the Gastineau Channel. There is access to glaciers, trails, skiing, and other various establishments nearby. This position will have their own office and work with a great group of dedicated staff. Travel in this position could be 1 - 2 times per year for training, up to 4 days.
