Our client is seeking a SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist to join a collaborative, high-performing team focused on delivering data-driven solutions for complex business initiatives.

This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who excels at solving challenging analytical problems, translating ambiguous requirements into actionable outcomes, and working cross-functionally to deliver high-quality results. This role is fully remote.

SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot advanced T-SQL solutions to address complex technical and analytical challenges.
• Analyze, transform, and optimize large, complex datasets to ensure data quality, consistency, and usability for project objectives.
• Tune SQL queries and improve database performance to support efficient processing of high-volume data workloads.
• Partner with technical teams to define solution approaches and contribute to the development of scalable data processing strategies.
• Consult with business stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and translate business needs into practical data solutions.
• Evaluate the completeness and reliability of source data while identifying opportunities to improve data accuracy and standardization.
• Prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously, proactively communicating progress, risks, and potential obstacles to stakeholders.
• Adapt quickly to changing business demands, shifting priorities, and evolving project requirements while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, solving problems creatively, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

SQL Server Data and Analytics Specialist Qualifications

• Advanced expertise in SQL Server and the development of complex T-SQL solutions.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing and working with very large datasets in enterprise environments.
• Strong background in SQL query tuning, database optimization, and performance improvement techniques.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify practical solutions to complex issues.
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments with competing priorities and changing requirements.
• Experience collaborating and consulting with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at varying levels of technical expertise.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to understand intricate business processes and align technical solutions with operational objectives.
• Five or more years of experience leading or independently delivering technical solutions from concept through implementation.
• Ten or more years of hands-on experience working with SQL Server and/or other relational database technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is strongly preferred.

Compensation

$90/hr.
