The Division of Student Affairs seeks a Manager of Digital Strategy
& Brand Engagement to serve as a strategic business partner
responsible for the marketing and communication functions across
the Business and Financial Operations (BFO) units. Reporting to the
Associate Vice President for Business & Financial Operations,
you will contribute through leadership of the integrated marketing
strategy for our high-impact units: Housing Services, Dining
Services, Facilities & Space Planning, Conference & Event
Services, and Pre-College Programs. This role offers the chance to
manage a diverse portfolio, use cutting-edge analytics, and
directly influence student life at Carnegie Mellon
University.
Working in close partnership with BFO leadership and in direct
consultation with University Communications and Marketing for brand
compliance and marketing project support and execution, the Manager
of Digital Strategy & Brand Engagement is responsible for
overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of
strategic marketing and communication plans that promote and
support a diverse portfolio of programs and services that enhance
the student experience and stakeholder engagement. This includes
the creation and coordination of all digital marketing projects,
campaigns, and outreach events (e.g., housing application periods
and room selection, meal plans, nutritional education, and summer
programming).
Additionally, the Manager of Digital Strategy & Brand
Engagement is charged with maintaining brand consistency, driving
customer engagement, and utilizing data analytics to optimize
campaign performance. This role also consults with Student Affairs
Marketing & Communications to ensure alignment with divisional
and central efforts.
execute both long- and short-term marketing strategies, including
campaign management, for Student Affairs’ BFO units, done in
consultation and partnership with the respective department
heads.
compelling visual and video content that captures the CMU student
life and stakeholder experience. Ensure all production adheres to
the highest university brand and accessibility standards.
and manage social media content creation and engagement strategies
across platforms (e.g., Instagram). Maintain and update
departmental websites and apps to ensure accurate, user-friendly,
and engaging content.
with external partners like graphic designers and printers.
Collaborate with internal leadership and external partners to
support major events and promotional campaigns.
key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize advanced analytics
tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social listening) to quantify
campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights for
leadership and input to revenue forecasting.
content calendar, coordinate the design and production of visual
assets, and manage email communication to current and prospective
residents.
content to ensure accuracy regarding policies, rates, and
deadlines. Write and edit short-form advertising copy and video
scripts for campaigns and storytelling projects.
including tabling and informational presentations across the BFO
units.
collaboration with BFO department heads, divisional and university
partners, to ensure projects are delivered on time and align with
departmental goals.
