For more information, please visit the website www.phfi.org.PROJECT DETAILS-(Project Summary)PHFI, with the support received from Jagran Pehel implementing “Harpic Safe Sanitation Program” is going to conduct a baseline study on WASH among children and current toilet infrastructure in public schools in districts Amritsar, Jalandhar, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Ludhiana, Punjab both in urban and rural areas.
In this regard data collection is required from teachers and students to be undertaken from the 14 schools each based at urban and rural areas. This study is designed to generate baseline data to inform targeted WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) interventions for children aged 6 to 14 years.
It also includes a systematic assessment of existing toilet infrastructure and through visual and data observations and pictorial evidences in government schools across the study districts. The findings will support evidence-based district-level planning, inform the design of school- and community-centered WASH strategies, and establish a benchmark for future monitoring and programmatic evaluations.
The position is based in Amritsar, Jalandhar, SAS Nagar (Mohali) and Ludhiana, Punjab, and preference will be given to applicants residing nearby and those who are familiar with the local language.
