Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Accountant to manage financial reporting and accounting operations .. You will own month-end close, financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS and UAE regulations. This role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and a recognized professional certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Manage end-to-end month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements in compliance with IFRS. Post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting per Group deadlines.
- General Ledger & Reconciliations
- Maintain and reconcile GL accounts, bank accounts, intercompany, AR, AP, and fixed assets.
- Investigate and clear aged items, suspense, and reconciliation breaks.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules with supporting documentation for audit.UAE Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UAE Commercial Companies Law, IFRS, and Federal Tax Authority requirements.
- Prepare and file VAT returns, reconcile VAT ledgers, and handle FTA queries.
- Support UAE Corporate Tax computation and filings.
- Maintain ESR and UBO documentation as applicable.
- Audit & Internal Controls
- Act as key contact for external statutory audits, internal audits, and tax audits.
- Prepare audit schedules, samples, and explanations.
- Implement and monitor internal controls under SOX/ICFR framework.
- Address audit findings and improve processes.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight
- Review AP/AR processes, vendor payments, customer collections, and aging analysis.
- Ensure correct accounting treatment for expenses, CAPEX, and revenue recognition under IFRS

- Support treasury for cash flow forecasting.
- Financial Analysis & Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly management reports, variance analysis vs budget/forecast, and KPI dashboards.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Provide insights on cost control and financial performance to business stakeholders.
- Systems & Process Improvement
- Work on ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics for accounting and reporting.
- Drive automation, standardization, and clean-up of legacy issues.
- Participate in system implementations, UAT, and chart of accounts governance.

Skills
- Experience: 10 years in accounting and financial reporting.
- Minimum 5 years in UAE/GCC with hands-on month-end close and IFRS reporting.
- Corporate, or Big 4 experience preferred.
- Certification: Professional certification
- CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA.Technical Knowledge: Strong IFRS knowledge including IFRS 9, 15,

- Sound understanding of UAE VAT Law and Corporate Tax. Knowledge of UAE labor law for payroll accounting is a plus.
- Systems: Proficiency in SAP FI/CO, Oracle Financials, or equivalent ERP. Advanced Excel: pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS. Experience with Hyperion, One
- Stream, or BPC is a plus.
