Barista Team Member - Full and Part-Time - Experienced

Coffee Bodega, a social enterprise, is seeking enthusiastic experienced baristas for one of our Financial District coffee shops. We are a very progressive company, with a different approach. Our coffees are entirely produced by farmers cooperatives, from planting and growing to roasting and packaging. This way coffee quality is much better preserved, and the whole process is more sustainable and socially responsible.

We pull 100% Arabic single origin coffee, the result is a creamy, smooth and delicious shot; it’s a bit harder to pull, but it is sure worth it.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and take their orders
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, such as Espressos, Lattes & Cappuccinos.
• Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop
• Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns

Skills

• Cashiering experience with cash handling skills
• Coffee 3rd Wave experience is important, but not critical.
• Knowledge of the food industry and food service procedures
• Ability to handle food safely and follow proper hygiene practices
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers in a friendly manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
