Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Manager – Contracts Specialist to lead strategic projects while owning end-to-end contract execution and compliance. This hybrid role combines project delivery discipline with deep contracts expertise to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and under sound commercial terms.
You will manage timelines and stakeholders, while also drafting, negotiating, and governing contracts with vendors, partners, and service providers in a regulated banking/enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management
- Lead cross-functional projects from initiation to closure using Agile or Waterfall methods.
- Develop project plans, manage scope, budget, resources, and risks.
- Drive stakeholder alignment across IT, Legal, Procurement, Risk, and Business units.
- Report status, KPIs, and escalations to senior management.
- Contract Strategy & Negotiation
- Own the contract lifecycle for project-related engagements: MSAs, SOWs, amendments, NDAs, and licensing agreements.
- Negotiate commercial and legal terms in collaboration with Legal and Procurement.
- Ensure contracts reflect project scope, deliverables, SLAs, and regulatory obligations.
- Vendor & Commercial Oversight
- Manage vendor selection, onboarding, and performance against contractual commitments.
- Validate deliverables, milestones, and invoices against SOWs. Track SLA breaches, credits, and change requests.
- Support RFP/RFQ processes and vendor risk assessments.
- Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all projects and contracts comply with internal policies, data privacy laws, and banking regulations.
- Maintain contract repository, renewal calendars, and audit-ready documentation.
- Support internal/external audits and regulatory reviews.
- Financial & Risk Management
- Monitor project budgets and contract spend.
- Identify commercial risks in contract terms and delivery.
- Implement mitigation plans.
- Manage PO issuance, invoice validation, and cost control aligned to approved budgets.
- Stakeholder & Change Management
- Act as the bridge between technical delivery teams and commercial/legal functions.
- Translate contract obligations into project tasks.
- Manage change control for scope and contract variations.
- Prepare executive summaries and steering committee materials.
- Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:10+ years total with 5+ years managing IT/enterprise projects and 3+ years in contracts, vendor management, or commercial roles.
- Project Management: PMP, PRINCE2, or CSM. Proven delivery using MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow PPM. Strong in risk, issue, and dependency management.
- Contracts Expertise: Hands-on drafting and redlining MSAs, SOWs, and IT service agreements.
- Solid grasp of liability, IP, data protection, termination, and SLA clauses.
- Experience working with Legal and Procurement teams.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of technology outsourcing, managed services, SaaS, and professional services contracts.
- Familiarity with third-party risk and vendor governance frameworks.
- Tools: CLM systems like Ariba, Coupa, Icertis, or SAP. Advanced Excel, SharePoint, Confluence.
