Job ObjectiveSPACE/CRAFT Worldwide is seeking a commercially sharp and operationally experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of the executive leadership team.
The CFO will own the full financial stewardship of the company, spanning financial planning and analysis, multi-entity reporting, cash flow management, risk and compliance, and strategic business partnership across four international jurisdictions.
Based full-time at our Tijuana, Mexico production headquarters, this is a critical hire at a pivotal stage of the company's global growth. The CFO will work directly with the CEO and Board to drive financial discipline, support international expansion, optimize capital structure, and build the financial infrastructure to scale with the business.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, strategic finance executive who brings structure to complexity and thrives in a dynamic, design-led manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the full financial function, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, and compliance across all entities (USA, Mexico, China)
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to shape and execute the company's financial strategy, growth plan, and capital allocation priorities
- Develop and maintain robust financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes that provide real-time visibility across the business
- Lead annual budgeting cycles and rolling financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with operational and strategic objectives
- Manage multi-currency cash flow, working capital, and liquidity across global operations
- Oversee financial close processes and ensure accurate, timely reporting under applicable accounting standards (US GAAP / IFRS)
- Build and maintain relationships with banking partners, lenders, investors, and insurance providers
- Drive cost management and margin improvement initiatives in partnership with operations and project management leadership
- Establish and enforce internal controls, financial policies, and compliance frameworks across all jurisdictions
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel
- Lead project-level financial analysis including job costing, WIP accounting, revenue recognition, and profitability tracking
- Identify and assess financial risks including FX exposure, credit risk, and contract risk
- Support M&A evaluation, due diligence, and integration activities as the company scales
- Build, mentor, and develop the internal finance and accounting team
- Prepare and present financial reporting packages to the Board of Directors and key stakeholders
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required;
- MBA or Master's in Finance strongly preferred
- CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a CFO, VP Finance, or equivalent executive role
- Proven experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency international business environment
- Background in manufacturing, custom fabrication, construction, retail fit-out, or project-based industries strongly preferred
- Experience managing finances across US, Mexican, and/or Asian operations is a significant advantage
- Track record of building or scaling finance functions in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments
- Experience with private equity, institutional investors, or Board-level financial reporting preferred
- Hands-on ERP experience (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar) and advanced financial modeling proficiency

- Exceptional financial acumen with deep expertise in FP&A, management accounting, and financial reporting
- Strong command of US GAAP; familiarity with Mexican and Chinese accounting standards is an advantage
- Advanced financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial insights into actionable business strategy
- Strong understanding of project-based cost accounting, job costing, and WIP management
- Excellent leadership presence with the ability to influence at the executive and Board level
- Highly organized, structured thinker capable of managing complexity across multiple entities and time zones
- Strong communicator able to present complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Proven ability to build and lead high-performing finance teams in fast-scaling environments
- Proficiency in Spanish is a strong advantage given the company's significant operations in Mexico
